D.I.Y Upcycling
In addition to my design projects, I'm also an avid "do-it-yourselfer" and an advocate for upcycling. As a stay-at-home mom, I find it both empowering and relaxing to go out in my workshop and create someting out of something else(upcycling), especially when it involves using powertools.
I'm always on the hunt for old, weathered wood pieces and metal scraps to turn them into something useful and unique. Instead of throwing everything in the landfill, you'd be surprised of the things you can make using your tools and imagination. And the best part is that what you are creating is helping the environment as well as being a one of a kind art piece.
